Description

A Handy Project 2 Axis solar Power Point Tracking System is based on arduino based system. 4 LDR (Light Dependent Register) is placed on top & bottom corners. Servo is rotate on angles in both direction as per LDR Values.

Theory of Sun/ Solar Tracking system:

The Sun tracking solar panel consists of 4 LDRs, solar panel and 2 Servo motor , Arduino Board & power supply.

Four light dependent resistors are arranged on the edges of the solar panel. Light dependent resistors produce high resistance when light falls on them. The stepper motor connected to the panel rotates the panel in the direction of Sun. Panel is arranged in such a way that light on two LDRs is compared top left, top right, bottom Left and bottom right, the panel is rotated towards LDR which have high intensity i.e. low resistance compared to other. Stepper motor rotates the panel at certain angle accordingly algorithm written on arduino.
