The Hardware list in New device
When you create a device, the Hardware field labels what it runs on. It is shown in Device Info and doesn't change how the device connects, so pick the closest match.
| Pick | For |
|---|---|
| NuttyFi 2.0 · NuttyFi32 | Our Wi-Fi boards. Use the SMEIoT library. |
| NuttyFi Fusion · Fusion X · Fusion Mega | Our boards with more I/O. Ask us for the library build for your board. |
| ESP8266 · ESP32 | Any other ESP board, such as NodeMCU, Wemos D1 mini or ESP32 DevKit. |
| Raspberry Pi · Jetson Nano · Linux Gateway | Linux boards. They connect from Python over MQTT or HTTPS. |
| LoRa Gateway · Industrial Gateway | Gateways that bring field nodes and machines online. |
| Custom Device | Anything else. |
The SDK names the board for youWhen an ESP board connects, the SMEIoT library reports its type from the chip, for example NuttyFi32. You don't need to set it.
