Quick start

Your first device online in minutes

Create a device, paste two lines into the sketch, flash, and watch it appear on the dashboard.

No account yet? Freeware is by invite from an existing user, or start straight away with Starter or the Student Pass.

Create a deviceSign in to SME AIoT → Developer mode → New device. Copy its DASHBOARD_ID and DEVICE_TOKEN.
Install the SME AIoT SDKAdd the SMEIoT library to the Arduino IDE and select your NuttyFi board (or any ESP32 / ESP8266).
Paste, flash, power onFill in Wi-Fi and the two IDs, upload, and the device turns Online.
Add widgetsLink a Switch to TP0 and a Value to TP1 — control and telemetry, done.
#define DASHBOARD_ID     "PROJ-XXXXXXXX"
#define DEVICE_TOKEN     "SME-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX"
#define FIRMWARE_VERSION "1.0.0"
#define WIFI_SSID        "your_wifi"
#define WIFI_PASS        "your_pass"

#include <SMEIoT.h>

void setup() {
  Serial.begin(115200);
  pinMode(2, OUTPUT);
  SME.begin(DASHBOARD_ID, DEVICE_TOKEN, FIRMWARE_VERSION,
            WIFI_SSID, WIFI_PASS);
}

void loop() {
  SME.run(); // keeps the link alive
}

// Switch widget on TP0 -> on-board LED, echo state to TP1
SME_LISTEN(TP0) {
  int state = data.toInt();
  digitalWrite(2, state);
  SME.publish(TP1, state);

Platform

Built for devices in the field

The pieces that make SME AIoT suitable for real installations, not just bench demos.

Real-time transport

Commands reach devices instantly over MQTT; the SDK falls back to HTTPS automatically if the broker is unreachable.

  • MQTT push for commands
  • HTTPS fallback, auto-reconnect
  • heartbeat · online / last seen
Secure by design

Every device has its own token; product boards carry a unique factory secret that the cloud verifies before claiming.

  • TLS on every cloud call
  • per-device tokens
  • secrets stored hashed, never plain
Fleet provisioning

Manufacture batches of boards bound to a template; customers scan the QR sticker and the device claims itself.

  • serial + secret per board
  • QR sticker onboarding
  • disable / enable any unit
Templates at scale

Design a dashboard once and reuse it on every device of the same product — by share code or at manufacture.

  • share by code
  • bound to manufactured units
  • versioned layouts
Role-based administration

A clear hierarchy from platform owner down to the end user, each seeing only what they manage.

  • super admin → platform → partner
  • client admin → sub admin
  • end user · developer mode
Telemetry & history

Up to 128 Telemetry Points per device carry numbers or text both ways, plotted live and kept for graphs and export. How many points, how long history is kept and how many exports you get depend on your plan.

  • TP0 – TP127
  • numbers and short text
  • logging up to every second · all plans
  • graph history · CSV export · by plan
Supported hardware

NuttyFi first. Any board welcome.

SME AIoT is built around the NuttyFi family and works just as well with the boards you already use — microcontrollers, Linux single-board computers, edge-AI modules and gateways.

From factory to dashboard

How a product board goes from the production line to a customer's phone — no codes to type, no tokens to share.

01 · FACTORYManufactureAdmin creates boards for a template. Each gets a serial, secret and QR.
02 · FLASHProgramThe board's identity file is flashed with the CloudConnect firmware.
03 · SCANCustomer scansThe app reads the QR sticker and authorises the claim.
04 · WI-FIJoin networkThe app hands the home Wi-Fi to the board over its own hotspot.
05 · LIVEDashboardThe board claims itself and opens on the template's dashboard.
