Common questions
Who should buy a pool instead of Student Passes?
Any class or lab with 20 or more students. A pool covers the whole year, gives teachers the console and assignments, and costs far less per student than individual passes.
Do staff need their own seats?
School pools include 3 or 5 staff seats. Campus includes staff seats. Need more? A seat pack adds 20 seats for students or staff.
What does "shared devices" mean?
The device count is how many boards can connect to the pool at the same time. Need boards for your lab? NuttyFi boards are available in our online store, and ESP32 and ESP8266 boards work too.
What counts as a data point?
Each value a device sends. A lab board that sends temperature, humidity, pressure and voltage in one upload uses 4 data points. The device name and the time are not counted, and neither are commands sent to the device. The same rule applies on every plan.
What happens if the pool runs out of data points?
Students are not cut off mid-class. Staff get a notice at 80% and 95%, and can add a pool data pack (+10M a month) at any time.
Can we pause seats between semesters?
Yes. Teachers can freeze seats when a batch ends and reassign them to the next batch.
What happens when the pool term ends?
You get 7 more days at full limits, then 7 days read-only. After that the account moves to Freeware limits. Nothing is deleted: data and projects come back as soon as you renew.
We were quoted an older price. Does it change?
No. A quote you already have is honoured until your pool comes up for renewal.
How do we pay?
UPI, net banking or card. Multi-year contracts get 5% off for 2 years and 10% off for 3 years.
